The Change You Need

Change is the mantra everywhere we go these days. And as the nation has just turned a corner approaching change, think about the changes you want for YOU.

If you’re looking to make some positive changes for your health this year, there are a few things to keep in mind.

1)Out with the old, in with the new. If you replace one negative behavior, you MUST replace it with a positive one, otherwise you’ll easily revert back to your old habits.

2) Focus on what you want instead of what you don’t want. If you want to exercise/>lose exercise/>lose-weight-exercise/>weight, focus on ways to accomplish that rather than moan and groan because you’ve been cursed with a slow metabolism. Nobody wants to hear your whining, and you probably have a faster metabolism than you think- it’s just intimidated by that grande caramel frappuccino you drink every day.

3) Get rid of the all or nothing mentality. How many times have you dodged a workout just because you only had 15 minutes. Are you kidding? Your body is more grateful for 15 minutes of activity than you are for a cup of coffee at 6am. Only got 5 to spare, how about crunches or push-ups. Make like Nike and just do it.
