The Change You Need

Change is the mantra everywhere we go these days. And as the nation has just turned a corner approaching change, think about the changes you want for YOU.

If you’re looking to make some positive changes for your health this year, there are a few things to keep in mind.

1)Out with the old, in with the new. If you replace one negative behavior, you MUST replace it with a positive one, otherwise you’ll easily revert back to your old habits.

2) Focus on what you want instead of what you don’t want. If you want to lose weight, focus on ways to accomplish that rather than moan and groan because you’ve been cursed with a slow metabolism. Nobody wants to hear your whining, and you probably have a faster metabolism than you think- it’s just intimidated by that grande caramel frappuccino you drink every day.

3) Get rid of the all or nothing mentality. How many times have you dodged a workout just because you only had 15 minutes. Are you kidding? Your body is more grateful for 15 minutes of activity than you are for a cup of coffee at 6am. Only got 5 to spare, how about crunches or push-ups. Make like Nike and just do it.

Make your change about progress, not perfection. YES YOU CAN!
