The Truth About Calories

I was walking through the mall the other day and I saw a stand selling all kinds of books and products for something called the “cookie diet.” I laughed. Out loud. Are you serious? Yes, they are… that is the sad part.

People are so confused when it comes to weight loss. We’re an obese nation, so it makes sense that we’d be desperate. But let’s set the facts straight- no short term plan will do any long-term good. Period. Read: do not buy into the cookie diet, the grapefruit diet, the potato chip diet (ok, that one doesn’t exist, but if the cookie diet exists, the potato chip diet probably isn’t far behind)…

McDonalds Nutrition

It’s funny how a woman sued McDonald’s for having HOT coffee. Oh my! What an earth shaking travesty, her hot beverage was hotter than she expected. I can’t wait for people to start suing McDonalds for making them fat. I mean, that double quarter pounder with cheese might be more calorie dense than you expected, too. You could make millions!

False! It doesn’t take a lawyer to figure out that when the nutrition facts are plainly available to you, you are not being deceived if you overindulge in a 1,000 calorie dinner. Do your homework.
